The past few years have seen several fantastic games launch on different platforms. We all have our own opinions about the top titles, but it seems that a blog for students decided to pull together a survey to get some statistics. According to one report, Roblox is the most loved game in 21 of 24 countries based on search volume.
When you compare the numbers with the runners up, it’s really impressive. Roblox has 124 million average monthly searches, while Fortnite and Minecraft come in at 30.4M and 68M, respectively. When looking at the country charts, only 3 of the 24 countries where Roblox doesn’t feature as the highest searches are India, Germany, and Japan, who seem to favor PUBG, Pokemon, and Minecraft.
Despite the number of searches, Roblox only appears as the 7th most popular game, with Fortnite, Pokemon, and Minecraft at the top 3 according to Student Beans. The reason for this placement is based on the number of purchases and downloads. So, while more gamers are playing Fortnite, the online attention seems to mainly be focused on Roblox.
It’s no surprise that there are so many searches for the gaming platform. It doesn’t simply feature a single game but presents many types you can choose between on the dashboard. Fortnite has a similar mechanism with different creative modes available, so this seems to be the way to go in the new age of gaming. Players don’t simply wany one type of gameplay anymore.
